Taylor Swift hit the Number 1 Spot with Lover Album on Billboard 200

Swifties convince us today that they really Love “Lover” album and proof of love is available on the Billboard 200 -where this album secures its Number one spot in its first week of sale. According to Billboard, in only a week net 867,000 album units of “Lover” sold in the US.
The vast majority of Total 679,000 units, 80 percent of total sale was physical while remaining unit sale based on streaming and digital media.
This is the most significant sale week of any album before that Billboard experienced this kind of sale when Swift released “Reputation” in 2017.
This largest week sale made her the first female artist whose six different albums sold in a week, whereas each album unit copies sale is 500,000. “Lover” album is on the top of the chart.
It is not just the US where singer enjoyed a historical sale of her album. “You need to Calm Down” star has made UK History as well. She is the only female with four UK number one albums (Red, 1989, Reputation, and Lover) in a decade.
According to Billboard, “Swift’s 226 million on-demand audio streams represent the second-best week ever for a female artist”. You can say that almost 175,000 people bought copies of this album.

Swift is quite happy and excited about the sale of her albums, especially “Lover.” She posted on twitter, “I have to say to you guys, thank you so much for one of the best weeks of my life. I can’t thank you enough.”
