Taylor Swift wrote a very large post on Tumblr where she revealed that Big Machine Records owned copyright of her master records. That post started her feud with Scooter Braun. Some music artists took her side while other stood alongside Scooter.

At one side when she had an active feud with Scooter, at another side music artists started a debate how record labels companies who profit from theme.

She wrote,“This is what happens when you sign a deal at fifteen to someone for whom the term ‘loyalty’ is clearly just a contractual concept. And when that man says ‘Music has value’, he means its value is beholden to men who had no part in creating it.”

It is not the first time that Taylor talked about record labels. In past, she moved from Apple to Spotify just to get the better deals and terms for the artists. She pushed companies to offer artist a better deal time to time.

Taylor is not the first artist who are involved in a battle with their record label companies which own the copyright of master copies of their music.

These days, artists have several ways to release their music. They can use spotify where they can release their new songs and still own the complete rights. Taylor already tried that option.

No matter how much she is against record label companies and repeating forcing them for better terms. She signed a new deal with another record labels.  She knows that she can try new method of music streaming but she sticks to traditional music record label company.
