Cats movie first trailer has arrived and if you didn’t watch it yet then go for it now because it is not a kind of thing you should miss. It offers first look at the “digital fur” of whole cast. The best part of the trailer is flirty feline Bombalurina- character played by Taylor Swift.
Cats is the film adaptation of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s iconic musical. Official synopsis of the movie states, “A tribe of cats must decide yearly which one will ascend to the Heaviside Layer and come back to a new life.”
The film is going to release on 20 December 2019. Tom Hooper is the director of the movie while producers include Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner, Debra Hayward and Tom Hopper.
In the trailer you can see Taylor Swift alongside Judi Dench, Idris Elba, Jason Derulo, Rebel Wilson and Jennifer Hudson . Everyone has transformed into felines with their own special body features, colors and textures and the most important part of each personality is the “digital fur.”
It is the very first time to add this kind of digital fur to the cast’s bodies, this technique wasn’t use before. In the trailer, you can watch all cast members wrapped into digital fur and this wrap up doesn’t look fake but it is nearly perfect.
Cats brings bring Andrew Lloyd Webber’s world-famous musical, based on poems by T.S. Eliot on to big cinema screen very first time.
The trailer was set to release on Friday but it is dropped one day before set date. It is quite amazing to see how slick and body-fitting feline show their musical moves to very familiar songs.
Taylor Swift is playing the role of a Flirtatious cat named Bombalurina in this movie. she will perform on at least five musical iconic songs in Cats. This role definitely suits to Swift who have her own three fur-babies. She spent a lot of time with them , so it is not really hard to transform herself into feline and behave like one.
“My first memories of performance go back to when I was in Pennsylvania growing up,” says Swift in the behind-the-scenes video. “My favorite thing was getting to be theatrical, to tell a story and I’ve always brought that narrative element to my live shows.”
“This musical is timeless,” Swift said. “We got to update it in ways that I think are just so, so, so great.”
In the trailer, you can see Taylor is wearing digital fur of feline and sitting on a big moon, she sprinkles catnip on her fellows. Trailer just offer us a quick look at her character and that look is impressive.
Interesting thing is that all cast members attend “Cat School” for this movie. in this school, they learn to mimic behavior and action movies of feline.
