The siblings Ronan and Dylan Farrow have defended their mother, Mia Farrow, and criticizing New York Magazine as both indicated the faults and “bizarre fabrications” in a disapproving way.
The criticism came hours after Woody Allen’s wife, Soon-Yi Previn gave an interview which was published on Sunday in Vulture, a New York Magazine-owned culture website. Daphne Merkin conducted the interview Merkin and Allen are friends for more than four decades.
The article is entitled as “As controversies tumbled around her, the daughter of Mia Farrow and wife of Woody Allen stayed silent for decades. No more.” While reacting on it, Dylan Farrow also took social media to clarify her side.
The interview found 47-year-old Previn accusing took advantage of the #MeToo movement by “parading Dylan” around as a victim. Dylan Farrow has accused Woody Allen of molesting her as a child.
Angry on New York Magazine
‘Angry’ 33-year-old American actress, activist, and former fashion model wrote in a statement on Twitter, “As a brother and a son, I’m angry that New York Magazine would participate in this kind of a hit job, written by a longtime admirer and friend of Woody Allen’s.”
The Article is “One-Sided”
The Farrow family, including Dylan Farrow and Ronan Farrow has publicly declared the article wrong and “one-sided”.
‘Lack of Care for the Facts’
“As a journalist, I’m shocked by the lack of care for the facts, the refusal to include eyewitness testimony that would contradict falsehoods in this piece, and the failure to include my sister’s complete responses. Survivors of abuse deserve better.”
“I was never interested in writing a ‘Mommie Dearest,’ getting even with Mia — none of that,” said Previn. “What’s happened to Woody is so upsetting. [Mia] has taken advantage of the #MeToo movement and paraded Dylan as a victim. And a whole new generation is hearing about it when they shouldn’t.”
“Woody Allen molested me when I was seven years old, part of a documented pattern of inappropriate,” Dylan wrote, as continued, “abusive touching that led a judge to say there was no evidence I was coached and that it was unsafe for me to be in Woody Allen’s presence.”
