The Chair of the Board of Trustees said in a statement that Miss America will represent a new generation of female leaders targeted on scholarship, social impact, talent, and empowerment. The competition of this year was the first ever without a swimsuit round. It was dropped in the favor of an interview segment with Miss America contestants.
A participant in the Miss America competition has been endorsed on social media by presenting her short & sharp introduction to extract attention to the Flint Water Crisis. Miss Michigan didn’t speak about herself but said that she was from the state with 84% of the U.S fresh water, but nobody was able to drink it. A massive water crisis has troubled Flint since 2014. The local officials have advised the local residents to drink, only filtered and bottled water.
At least 100,000 residents of the poor community have been exposed to a high level of advantage. The disease has allegedly been accused of more than 12 deaths. The water tests are improving due to an entire replacement of the pipes, but it might be completed until 2020. A large number of people on Twitter appreciated the comments of Emily Sioma.

Sioma is a survivor of sexual assault and she already used her public platform to bring attention to violence against women. She was unable in making the final 15, but comments on her Instagram page thanked her and called her a hero in bringing attention on a large television platform regarding the crisis in Flint.
Miss West Virginia Madeline Collins said earlier this week in a preliminary round that the U.S President Trump was the major issue and his current approach will divide America. Miss Virginia Emili McPhail also splashed into the NFL kneeling row. She said that the American football players absolutely had the right to protest police barbarism during the national anthem.
On Sunday evening, Miss New York, Nia Imani Franklin got 2019 crown and 50,000 Scholarship. He admired after his win about the dropping of controversial bikini round. She added that a large number of women made a personal contact with her as Miss New York. Most of them asked that how can they get involved due to they are unable to do acts like walking in a swimsuit for a scholarship. She collected the crown from the winner of 2018 Miss America, Cara Mund.
