Oh No! This was my first reaction when I heard about this new Game plan. The second episode of Game of Thrones Season 8 unlocked many secrets, one of them was Gendry’s secret. Arya Stark might plan to use this secret to betray his brother Jon Snow.
As we all know Gendry and Arya Stark have a strong bonding since the start of this season. In Season 8, they are spending a lot of time together. Even we enjoyed their intimate moments ( long awaited one) in the second episode of GOT Season 8. Gendry told Arya about his Father after telling all about his journey to the North. He is Robert Baratheon’s bastard son. As Joffrey and Tommen have died, so he would be the rightful heir to the Iron Throne.
Will Arya Betray Jon Snow?
I watched the second episode and I thought that Arya didn’t pay much attention to this secret. But some GOT Spoilers said that Arya might use it against her brother. In the first episode of Games of Thrones Season 8, Jon Snow came to know about his true parentage. Now in the secondvepisode , Gendry told Arya about his real Parentage, so it’s kind of direct conflict of among real heirs of Iron Throne. Things are getting quite complicated.
Arya is not a person who is into the politics but she likes to have power. She might not pay attention to the fact that Gendry is a bastard son of Robert Baratheon but it doesn’t mean that she won’t use that info at all. When time is right, you might see her standing in front of Cersei Lannister, Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen just to win the crown. But we don’t know the true motive behind this revelation right now. Is Arya trying to win Iron Throne by getting into romantic relationships with Gendry? But it is too soon to predict anything.
What we know at this point is that Bran Stark is the real target of Night King since he is the Three-Eyed Raven. Bran killed former ravens beyond the wall so all this make complete sense now.
