Good news for the game enthusiasts as the Assassin Creed’s French video game maker Ubisoft to offer gaming subscription service Uplay now.
The company has announced a monthly subscription of $14.99 starting from September 3. The subscription can be availed for both Windows PCs and Google’s Uplay Plus as well. Another surprise is players who sign up before August 15 can enjoy free access to Uplay Plus 3 to September 30. Subscribers will be entered into Ubisoft’s catalog and early access programs. With Uplay Plus, you can download games directly to your PC and play even offline.
With this milestone, Ubisoft has reached to the standards made by EA, Xbox, and PlayStation in introducing its very own subscription services. It seems like Ubisoft is now in full swing. The subscription offer is made for the US and most of Europe for right now, and as per Brenda Panagrossi, vice president and product manager, the company plans to expand its services to other platforms anytime soon. He also called it a ‘library of games’ which only grows not to rotate.

The users will enjoy a lot more perks than a random player as all the premium versions of favorite games like Watch Dogs Legion and Ghost Recon Breakpoint alongside Assassin Creed, Rayman Legends, Uno, Rainbow Six and Far Cry. While Ubisoft has recently celebrated this milestone, Microsoft had already on Monday announced its upcoming $9.99 per month subscription for Xbox Game Pass for PCs. This would be included in its newly announced Xbox Game Pass Ultimate bundle as well at $14.99 per month. With competitors plunging ahead, how could Google just stay back and watch the race? Google also revealed its $9.99 per month Stadia Pro subscription. Another breaking news is, Sony has changed its $60 per year PlayStation Plus subscription to $20 per month PlayStation making it more reachable than ever before. Apple as well has announced its Apple Arcade subscription service for its iPhones and iPads, with pricing expected later this year.
